What Is Active Power?

Active power, measured in kilowatts (kW), is the portion of electrical power that performs practical work. In EV charging, active power represents the actual energy transferred to the vehicle battery and converted into stored electrical energy.

Why Active Power Matters in EV Infrastructure

Active power directly determines charging performance and energy delivery. It is the value used for energy billing, charging-speed calculations, and system-efficiency assessments.
